Dear GoGardenGirl;
Are there any herbs that I can plant in the shade to use this summer?

Dear GoGardenGirl;
Greetings! Any non-toxic suggestions for eliminating Creeping Charlie? It is taking over our entire yard. Yikes!

Dear GoGardenGirl;
My lilacs have set buds for this year and it doesn't seem that I am going to get many flowers this year. What can I do to get more flowers on my lilac bush?

Dear GoGardenGirl;
I rent the second floor of an old mansion turned triplex with my children. The neighborhood is great but across the alley the neighbors leave a lot to be desired. It is like Deliverance over there. They are so bad that we don't even like to use our beautiful back yard in the summer. If I owned this house, I would erect a fence but that is not an option here. What plants can I grow to create a privacy barrier and can block them out with minimal cost?

Dear GoGardenGirl;
I waited too long to plant two small Junipers, and now the ground is frozen. Will these zone 4 hardy trees survive outside in their pots, or should I move them inside? Any other ideas would be appreciated."

Dear GoGardenGirl;
Hey, I happened on this site by accident. I was looking for some answers regarding gladiola bulbs. I'm in southern Wisconsin, zone 5, and I just dug up my bulbs. This was my first year growing glads, and must say I really impressed my friends with the gorgeous bouquets I kept taking to work (it must've been the mushroom compost that I used)! The questions is when I dug up the bulbs, they looked they had tons of babies! For example, each bulb would have up to 50 tiny bulbs attached to it! Is this normal? Is there some special treatment that I need to do so they survive the winter?

Dear GoGardenGirl;
Bill is uneasy about composting egg cartons & newspaper due to chemicals in paper. Is this a reasonable discomfort? The ink in newspaper is considered toxic but sterile so I am not sure.

Dear GoGardenGirl;
I have a black thumb and a very shady yard. Can you give me some suggestions for plants that like the shade and aren't ugly.
